You would be glad Texas won. Augie Garrido for all the praise heaped upon him is a douche bag. Aside from being cited for drunk driving in the offseason, he left his pitcher out there yesterday for over 150 pitches...nevermind the kid had pitched the day before too.
That's just irresponsible. I hope the kid's arm doesn't fall off.
I can't think of any reason I would ever be happy about a BC win in any sport so being glad for a loss is just a natural occurrence.
As for leaving the kid in for too many pitches (after also pitching the night before) I have to say that I am not surprised. Most college baseball coaches care more about wins and losses than their own men.
Players a simply seen as a means to an end, which is why it is much more ideal for young pitchers to get drafted and work through the farm system (not that the value of an education should be undermined).
